We are a group of Internet-of-Things (“IoT”) users, application and DApp creators, and SoftDevice makers. We are here to invent and to innovate - and to help, assist, and inspire others to invent and to innovate. To ensure that we all have a fun and pleasant experience on Devicebook, it is essential for all Users to follow these Content Guidelines. Any capitalized terms that are not defined herein shall be accorded those definitions set forth in the Terms of Service from which these Content Guidelines are linked.
GENERAL GUIDELINES REGARDING THE USE OF THE SERVICES
1. Make SoftDevice (the software-representation of a physical device) clean, clear, usable, and inspiring to other Users.
a. SoftDevice consists of SoftPanel and Adapter, or SoftPanel only.
c. Vetting process for publishing a SoftDevice is to help all of us to ensure the quality of the software-representation of the device. The creative community depends on it.
2. Create DeviceScript application, DApp, clean, clear, usable, and inspiring to other Users.
a. If you have all devices required to access and use the Services, please participate in our DApp “Event Stream” – a dynamic control-flow simulation. This Event Stream simulation is really fun for others to quickly understand how you intend to use the Services. It’s also a good tool for you to debug the DApp.
3. Bring inter-device actions into DApp; Devicebook’s ability to perform inter-device actions is unlimited, let your mind be free, and imagination explode!
a. Mixing devices into a combined or/and chained action is fun, try it! If you could not find a corresponding SoftDevice for your device, don’t be shy to ask for help from the Makers by using “Maker Wanted” requests.
4. Share your devices with your friends and loved ones! Sharing makes DApps more powerful. Sharing, all by itself, is a fun thing to do.
a. Use “Share” to grant your friends and loved ones Permits to use your devices or DApps.
5. Write a device review from a User, a DeviceScript DApp Creator, or a SoftDevice Maker’s prospective of the device or the software that comes with it. Even the device manufacture might listen in.
